ATEN CN8000A Single Port KVM over IP Switch – Remote Server Management

The ATEN CN8000A Single Port VGA KVM over IP Switch enables remote server management with high-resolution display up to 1920 x 1200 and easy KVM access via LUC (Laptop USB Console). Its user-friendly local console OSD and virtual media function simplify remote administration without requiring additional cables. By connecting to the Intranet via a standard Cat 5e/6 cable, the CN8000A allows system operators to monitor and access computers from anywhere using a standard Web browser or Windows and Java-based applications.

The switch uses standard TCP/IP protocols for secure and reliable communications over the internet or LAN/WAN. It features a dedicated RS-232 port for modem access or serial console management, a PON port for connecting an ATEN PDU device, and USB 2.0 virtual media capability for flexible remote management.

For secure and convenient access, the CN8000A supports a Windows Client Viewer and a Java Applet Viewer for browser-based access, as well as Windows Client AP and Java Client AP programs for non-browser GUI access. The inclusion of a Java-based client ensures platform independence, making it compatible with virtually all operating systems. To meet advanced security needs, the CN8000A’s Virtual Media function allows mapping a Smart Card/CAC reader on a local system to a remote server, ensuring secure remote access and management.
